Q. Do i have to book a class?
A. No, just turn up, we offer pay as you go facilities.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Lessons are £4 per 1 hour lesson (£3.50 for juniors, students and unemployed) £6 for 2 x 1 hour lessons on same night. There is a yearly membership fee of £20 that covers member to member insurance, administration and a personal record book. There are no Monthly contracts, pay as you train.
Q. Do i have to be fit to start?
A. We will get you fit, you can work at your own level and let your fitness build up gradually according to your goals. Come and enjoy youself, meet new friends and learn a highly effective method of self defence.
Q. What equipment and Kit do i need?
A. Initially all protective equipment needed is provided, however it is expected that personal items such as bag gloves, sparring gloves and shin pads are supplied by the student after a few weeks of training. These are available from your instructor at a competitive price, or you can get them yourself.
Q. Do i have to compete?
A. No, although we have a very strong and respected fight team of all levels, the emphasis is firmly on enjoyment, fitness and learning something useful in todays violent society. There are regular competitions for those who wish to compete and we can cater for all levels of competitor.
Q. How can i measure my progress if i dont want to compete?
A. We hold regular Muay Thai Gradings based on the principles of Amateur Muay Thai, Muay Boran and Mai Mae as taught in Thailands Schools, Universities and Military Academys. Our senior instructors have qualified in Thailand to deliver this level of teaching and assesment and are highly regarded as such teachers.
Q. What do i need to do to start?
A. Just turn up at one of the classes 5 minutes early, speak to the coach and join in, its that simple! (All juniors to attend initially with a parent/guardian able to give permission to attend lessons.
